Looking for Summer boredom busters for the kids? Below we have compiled a list of awesome, free, or nearly free activities kids can do this summer!

  • Free Crafts and DIY – Stores such as Micheal’s, Lowe’s, Home Depot, JCPenney, and JOANN’S offer free activities regularly.
  • Free Fishing Days
  • Kids Bowl Free – Registered kids will receive 2 free games of bowling, daily through this summer promotion.
  • Kids Skate Free – Join the Kids Skate Free program to get free roller skating sessions, year-round, at a skating center near you!
  • Movies – You can score cheap tickets at various theatres nationwide, we have listed some below and you can also contact your local theatre to see what promotions they also may be offering.
    • AMC – Summer Movie Camp offers $3 tickets on Wednesdays and $5 tickets on Saturdays.
    • Cinemark – $1.50 movie tickets June 19th – August 10th.
    • Classic Cinemas – Family movies all summer long on Wednesday mornings for $2.
    • Megaplex – 10 Movies for 10 Weeks at 10 AM for $10. Plus those receiving food (SNAP or WIC) benefits to can get complimentary admission for one adult and up to five children in the same household.
    • Metropolitan Theatres – $2 Family movies weekly June 13th- August 10th.
    • Regal Cinemas – Summer movies for kids for just $2.
  • Museums Libraries, Aquariums, and Zoos offer free activities regularly, contact your local facilities and ask what they have going on for kids this summer!
  • National Parks – Free entrance on August 4th ad check out their Junior Ranger Program.
  • Planet Fitness – Through August 31st, teens ages 14-19 can work out for free all summer long!
  • Kids can EAT FREE at various restaurants nationwide!
  • Get rewarded for READING with the Pizza Hut Book IT Program and the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program.
  • Apple Camp – Offers free sessions at your local Apple Store and online.
